Hilo-area guest plans
Couples with guests staying or arriving around Hilo can keep the celebration on the east side while choosing a private property setting instead of a hotel ballroom or downtown event space.

Koa’s EventsMountain View · East Hawaiʻi · Big Island
Koa’s Events gives couples a private rainforest setting in Mountain View with room for up to 100 guests, flexible wedding collections and an event experience that can be styled in very different directions.
Why this page exists
Couples often search for wedding venues using the place names they already know—Hilo, Volcano, Mountain View or simply “Big Island.” Koa’s is one venue in Mountain View, so this guide explains how the property fits East Hawaiʻi planning without pretending there are separate Koa’s locations in each community.

Planning the east side
The right venue is not only about a search term. It is about the guest experience, access time, event design, weather plan, vendors, bar service and how much of the weekend you want centered around one property.

Koa’s is located in Mountain View on four tropical acres with a 1,500 sq. ft. pavilion, getting-ready space and an approved maximum occupancy of 100 persons.

For couples building an East Hawaiʻi itinerary around Volcano and the surrounding rainforest side of the island, the venue keeps the wedding experience in the same broader region.
The property
Koa’s is not designed around one permanent wedding look. The pavilion and grounds can move from tropical and organic to romantic, modern, candlelit or bold depending on the planner, florist, rentals and design choices you bring into the space.

Choose the level of support
Koa’s publishes four wedding collections with different levels of access, included inventory and support. The flagship Signature Wedding Experience includes the private property, weekend cottage access, ceremony and reception foundations, Mobile Bar service and planning support.

Before you choose a venue
Look beyond the location name and compare guest capacity, included access, rain planning, vendor requirements, beverage service, getting-ready space, furniture, sound rules and how much coordination support is included. Those details shape the wedding day more than a map pin alone.
